From the author of the Carnegie Medal nominated Wolf by Wolf, comes an epic new story – A fast-paced, heart-stopping journey through time that will leave you breathless.
Time is running out . . .
Farway McCarthy was born outside of time. With nowhere to call home and nothing to anchor him to the present, Far captains a crew on a dangerous mission into the past.
When he collides with Eliot – a mysterious, secretive girl, whose very appearance raises questions about time itself – Far immediately distrusts her.
But he must take a leap of faith, following Eliot on a race against time, if he is to protect everything he’s ever loved from disappearing forever . . .

Graudin weaves an exciting plot where time travel is just the beginning. Her characters are spunky, smart-mouthed, tormented, emotionally yearning and contemporary. It's Firefly meets Assassin's Creed, but Graudin has a way with words that gives the book depth and makes it more than just an enjoyable page-turner.
Wild and gorgeous, vivid and consuming.
...an incredible read and fans of Dr Who or time-travel in general will be hooked.
Invictus was a gripping, fast paced, action packed, funny, heart warming, rollercoaster of a read and I couldn't recommend it more highly.
Invictus is perfect for fans of sci-fi reads and time traveller lovers.
...literally crafted to perfection so you'll never want to put it down! If you're a fan of The Heroes of Olympus series, or Six of Crows, basically anything where a group of kids have to come together and save the world/steal some stuff, then you're going to love this book.
Invictus gripped my heart. Graudin's achingly beautiful prose and thoughtful exploration of time, history, and identity create a stunning story. I couldn't turn the pages fast enough, and yet I wanted to savour each decadent sentence. Readers be warned, you'll want to stop time to live in this tale
...her writing is golden, powerful and completely addictive.
If the crew from Firefly somehow wound up as teenagers on the TARDIS and had to solve a Fringe-type mystery before time literally disappeared, you'd have something like Invictus
...raises questions about how far our lives are fated and how much we shape our own destinies.
Invictus is a tremendously fun novel, which fuses sci-fi and historical fiction with style, empathy and humour. brimming with entertaining characters and an indomitable energy, Invictus delivers mind-bending adventure.
Graudin depicts the futuristic, high-tech world and the fulsome and frenzied historical settings with equal richness . . . A madcap, vivid time-travel tale with a strong ensemble
It's got twists and turns that had me gaping in amazement, as well as emotional scenes that made my heart hurt.
If epic adventure, fabulous settings and thoughtful worldbuilding are your things, you're going to love Invictus.
Invictus was a highflying knock out for Ryan. Readers will be taken on a time travelling adventure and they definitely will not want it to end.
