Rose is an excellent detective, I loved the more prominent role Orpheus was able to play in this book, and the butlers were as magnificent as ever. [...] I'm very hopeful this won't be the last I see of Rose, Orpheus and the Silvercrest Hall butlers, as I think this series is super underrated, but if it is, this was an excellent conclusion.
This is an excellent addition to the popular genre of historical mysteries for children. Excellently plotted, with realistic and well-rounded characters.
I love the evocative atmosphere and the quirky cast of characters.
