The giggles will come faster and faster as children enjoy this hilarious picture book from a wonderful storyteller.
Full of Melling's usual flare. Duck is endearing, with his cape and fez and fake moustache. All the pictures are colourful, and clearly drawn...Perfect for a group read-aloud at nurseries, or just for a funny afternoon snuggle on the sofa.
Bursting with subtle humour and oozing with awesome touches and delectable details, this is genius at work. The whole thing's as pretty near perfect as anyone could imagine and it's absolutely bound to be demanded again and again (that's my experience anyway).
As well as being a marvellously funny read, this cunning work also functions as an innovative early literacy resource ... Splendidly silly and warmly affectionate illustrations ensure that every page is a pleasure to look at
D is For Duck! is full of character and very funny illustrations ... brilliant for those just learning to read
Just as loveable an ABC picture book that you'd expect from Hugless Douglas's Dad
