Charming and gentle stories, these are a refreshing change from some of the formulaic series around. These are great books for reluctant readers - the stories are amusing, there is plenty happening, passages are short and the pictures are attractive and informative.
colourful and lively illustrations which add immensely to the fun.
Another great talent... a sparing style is the perfect medium for his humorous tale.
Claude's gentle adventures and Alex T. Smith's irresistible illustrations make this a great book to share with children.
Watch out for this new kid on children's books block, you will be won over!
The author is a comparitive newcomer to children's books; on this evidence, he should go far.

I loved everything about this book.
Comic talent not just for writing a good story but also illustrating it in a fitting but hilarious style.
I liked all the pictures, there are lots of them and they are colourful and funny. I would give this book ten out of ten. I am reading some of the other Claude books now too.
