Permissions requests for all divisions except Bookouture must be made using the PLS Clear tool.
Please start by searching for the ISBN or title in the PLS widget below or go to www.plsclear.co.uk, then complete the form with all the necessary information.
Permissions requests currently have a processing time of between four and six weeks, so please apply in good time. The process may take longer depending on the complexity of the request and any difficulties incurred whilst tracing records. We ask you to be patient during this process and to avoid sending repeated requests for information once you have received confirmation of receipt of your request form.
Illustrations and Photograph requests
Permission to reproduce illustrations/photographs from our books should be obtained from the photographer or illustrator, apart from illustrations from children’s books for which you will need to apply for permission through PLS Clear. For non-children’s books, please check the copyright for the image you wish to use by looking at the acknowledgements, credits or copyright page in the book, and seek permission from the cited party. For requests to reproduce the cover image of one of our books, please ensure that it is our edition before submitting a PLS Clear request.
Translation of the Entire Work
If you would like to reproduce or translate the entire text of a work, please contact our Rights department.

NIV Bible requests

If an entire book of the Bible is being reproduced, regardless of verse count, written permission is required. This permission is contingent upon an appropriate copyright acknowledgment. Requests to quote from the NIV text in printed or electronic media intended for commercial use within the UK, EU, EFTA countries that exceed the above guidelines should be submitted via PLS Clear. If your request is for use in the US and Canada your request should be directed to Zondervan.
