Boot – Teaching Notes

Join Boot, a small robot on a big adventure, in a brand new young adventure series by Shane Hegarty, author of Darkmouth.

Boot wakes up in the middle of junk yard with only two and half glitchy memories and no knowledge of which way is home. Rescued from the grinder by a bandit of outcast robots, they then embark on a journey to find their way back home, encountering a few mishaps and mischief on the way.

These lesson resources are aimed at KS1 and 2, focusing on opening up debates about technology, future and identity as well as covering reading comprehension and topics on friendship and feelings. Activity sheets and posters are also available as a way to help bring Boot to life in your classroom in a fun, interactive way.
